PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — Four people are in custody after a police chase that stretched from Bucks County into Philadelphia.
Pennsylvania state police say it began when troopers from the Trevose station tried to stop a vehicle on Wednesday.
The suspects took off, leading troopers on a pursuit. At one point, police say the vehicle went the wrong way on I-95 southbound.
Two state police vehicles were struck by the suspects before their vehicle was finally boxed in near Aramingo Avenue in the East Mount Airy section of the city.
Two people were arrested right away, but two others fled on foot.
Chopper 6 was overhead as state troopers and Philadelphia police searched the area, eventually taking those suspects into custody.
Police sources say the suspects’ car had been stolen in Lower Gwynedd, Montgomery County, on Tuesday night and investigators had been tracking the vehicle.
