Prince Harry settles legal case with Rupert Murdoch’s News Group Newspapers
Prince Harry has claimed a huge victory after Rupert Murdoch’s News Group Newspapers issued a lengthy apology admitting wrong doing and agreed to pay substantial damages to the Duke.
According to journalist Mike Parry, the Duke of Sussex has shown his critics that he was neither “delusional” nor “troubled” when he brought the case against NGN six years ago.
Speaking on GB News, Parry said there would be “pretty huge repercussions” now that Harry has won such a huge fight against the media group.
“The fact that Harry has clearly won and all the evidence points to the fact that he wasn’t delusional because everybody said, oh, it’s all in your head, Harry,” he said.
“You’re such a troubled soul. You think everybody’s against you. This is such a clear case and News Group have literally held their hands up and said we got it completely wrong.
“Harry got it completely right from what I’ve seen so far. I think there’s going to be pretty huge repercussions. It’s interesting to see what the damages are.”
However, former Labour MP Stephen Pound said that Harry should behave decently now that he has received “his first good news in a long time” as his business ventures in the US suffer.
“His businesses in America are crashing. The magazine, called Vanity Fair, has absolutely ripped him to shreds. And this is the first piece of good news he’s got,” Pound said.
He added, “I hope he’s got the decency to act a little bit modestly about this and not start crying about it. I’d be interested to see where we go.”
