Prince William gives final verdict on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s criticism over his Trump meeting
A Royal insider close to Prince William has revealed his reaction after a report claimed that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle felt betrayed over Prince of Wales’ meeting with Donald Trump.
As per Closer Magazine, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex had their reservations after William met the America’s president-elect in Paris.
An insider told the publication that both Harry and Meghan were shocked to see William meeting Trump without discussing it with them first given his past criticism of the Sussexes.
“The whole situation has triggered a storm of emotions for Harry and Meghan,” the insider said, adding, “they’re hurt and angry and genuinely quite shocked.”
However, William is said to be unfazed by what Harry or Meghan are feeling about the headline-making meeting as he was only fulfilling his professional duties.
“William doesn’t care at all,” the insider said, “he’s very clear that he was simply doing his duty being a professional and he finds it pretty telling that Harry and Meghan would manage to make it about them.”
The source said William, the Prince of Wales, has given his final verdict that he will not apologise to the Sussexes because he was “only doing his job.”
“He’s not going to apologise for doing his job and he’s certainly not going to worry about how what he does to protect his country will be perceived by them, they need to grow up already!” they said.
