Although Prince William doesn’t fall in line with his father King Charles’ spiritual profile, he’s witnessing that his wife Kate is moving closer to his dad’s perspective

The Prince of Wales is reportedly not fully onboard with his Princess Kate Middleton’s spiritual awakening following her battle with cancer.

Prince William is purported not to view faith as a priority regarding his own personal values. Although the royal doesn’t fall in line with his father King Charles’ spiritual profile, he’s witnessing that his wife Kate is moving closer to his dad’s perspective. Robert Hardman, a royal expert, explained in his book Charles III: New King. New Court. The Inside Story that the Princess of Wales is “more interested” in the idea.

However, as of now, Prince William remains cemented in his stance of being away from the royal faith, the royal author says.

“In royal circles, it is no secret that he does not share the King’s sense of the spiritual, let alone the late Queen’s unshakeable devotion to the Anglican church,” Robert wrote about William.

Unlike his father King Charles, who is open to happily speaking about his faith, Prince William is the exact opposite.

“‘His father is very spiritual and happy to talk about faith but the Prince is not. He doesn’t go to church every Sunday, but then nor do the large majority of the country. He might go at Christmas and Easter but that’s it,’” per a senior senior palace figure, according to Robert.

The senior palace figure added: ” ‘[Prince William] very much respects the institutions but he is not instinctively comfortable in a faith environment.’ ”

Robert recently told The Daily Mail that he believes that Prince William’s seeming aversion to his family’s religion could be out of embarrassment. “He is a modern young man and I think he gets embarrassed by certain aspects of ceremonial and religion,” Robert said. However her claimed Kate “on the other hand, is said to have become rather more interested in questions of faith as a result of her condition.” In September, Kate confirmed that she no longer had cancer, three months after she unveiled her diagnosis.

“Since becoming Prince of Wales, the new heir to the throne had not accumulated a vast portfolio of patronages, as his father had done, but was keen to keep his focus on a deeper connection with a smaller number of organizations,” Robert said, speaking on the ways that the prince continued his father’s legacy. Even though they differ when it comes to faith.

“There was also his contrasting attitude to public disclosure, be it with regard to those Duchy accounts or the Princess’s illness,” Robert continued.
