Princess Charlotte gets behind father and future king Prince William over big decision
Prince William seems to have finally managed to convince his daughter over a big decision he made over the past year.
The Prince of Wales, who had to be a source of support for his family after his wife Kate Middleton was diagnosed with cancer, went through some immense personal and professional changes in the short span of time.
On one end, the future king was given more responsibilities to take on, especially since his father King Charles was also taking leave to recover from his cancer treatment. On another, William had decided to make a personal change, which Charlotte had initially protested.
William debuted his facial year, for the first time since his college days, last year during the summer. He revealed during an interview in South Africa that Charlotte didn’t like it the first time he sported his beard and received a “flood of tears”.
“I got floods of tears, the first one I got tears, so I have to shave it off. And then I grew it back,” he said at the time. “I thought, hang on a second, and I convinced her it was going to be okay.”
Now, Charlotte seems to be alright with it as he was all smiles with her family and especially her father during the Christmas Walk last month.
According to hair expert, Jack Miles, Charlotte’s reaction was normal.
“Change is difficult for everyone,” he told GB News. “Children don’t expect change at a younger age, so with him having a beard it would had been a shock, but I think Charlotte would have been able to get over it.”
He continued, “Normal people dye their hair, they get it cut, they grow it out and guys shave and let their beard grow so I think it’s normal for Charlotte to be confused.”
