Prince William’s American friends help him win against Prince Harry
The financial gap between Prince William and Prince Harry’s charitable organizations has widened, according to a report published by GB News on Thursday.
Citing the latest annual report, the media outlet wrote that The Earthshot Prize, Prince William’s environmental initiative, has reported a total income of £23.5 million.
It said Prince Harry and Meghan’s Archewell Foundation raised just £4.67 million during the same period.
The Earthshot’s donation surged by 68 per cent as it received £8.6 million of the £22.5million from a one-off donation from The Royal Foundation, an organization that also belongs to Prince William.
Gb News reported that a notable achievement came from The American Friends of The Royal Foundation of The Prince and Princess of Wales, which more than doubled its contribution to £6.1 million from £2.7 million in the previous year.
It said that this single American contribution alone exceeds the total amount raised by the Archewell Foundation.
The Earthshot Prize’s founding partners contributed £14.4 million to the environmental initiative.
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s Archewell Foundation more than doubled its fundraising in 2023, securing £4.1 million in grants compared to £1.5 million the previous year.
