In the past decades, men’s tennis has featured captivating rivalries, including matchups like Roger Federer vs. Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic vs. Andy Murray. However, the Nadal vs. Djokovic rivalry has been particularly notable for its intense battles. While Djokovic holds a slight edge with a 30-29 head-to-head record, Nadal has secured significant victories against Djokovic. Recently, Djokovic’s coach issued a serious caution as Nadal prepares for a comeback in 2024.

The Spaniard has missed the majority of the current season due to injuries. However, he’s looking to make his mark next year. In anticipation of the same, Djokovic’s coach, Goran Ivanisevic, has some cautious words for his pupil.

What did Ivanisevic say about the comeback of Rafael Nadal?
Recently, the 52-year-old was involved in an interview with Croatian media. During the conversation, he talked about Nadal’s chances next season, while cautioning his rivals.

He said, “I am convinced Nadal’s level will be good, he would not be coming back if he did not feel ready, and I am confident that at Roland Garros he will be dangerous.”

Furthermore, he went on to add, “He will actually be more dangerous this year because nowhere has anyone been as dominant as Nadal at Roland Garros, and it is possible that, in the year of the Olympics, he will aim for the double crown in Paris.”

Nadal hasn’t played competitive tennis since the Australian Open this year. Recently, he cleared the air surrounding his comeback.
