Roger Federer

Roger Federer never fails to impress, does he? Be it on the court or off the court, the Swiss maestro is known for his charming appearance. Last year, he made some grand impressions with his wife at various tournaments like the Wimbledon Championships and the Laver Cup. And he has some exciting updates in the store for his fans.

Moments ago, it was known that Federer will appear in a few tournaments this year as well, albeit off the court. He revealed, “Yes, I follow tennis often. Last year I went to four tournaments, in Halle, Wimbledon, at the Laver Cup in Vancouver, in Shanghai. This year I will attend three or four events again.”

At the 2023 Wimbledon Championships, Federer made a starry appearance with his wife during the match between Shelby Rogers of the U.S. and Elena Rybakina of Kazakhstan. Beside them, the Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton, was seated in the royal box.

Later that year, he made an appearance at the Laver Cup in Vancouver. The Swiss maestro even hit it out during a practice session and gave glimpses of his prime days in the sport. Despite months after his retirement, Federer has always stayed close to tennis. He once revealed why he loved the sport so much.

Roger Federer gets candid about his love for tennis
Last year, during an interview, Federer was asked if he felt that he should give back to the sport after it had brought him tremendous success. Replying to this question, the Swiss maestro made an honest confession about tennis.

He said, “I’ve always loved it when athletes could inspire each other. Those moments outside of the match, when you learn from each other and briefly forget that you’re about to compete again, are the best.”

Further, he went on to add, “I love creating something positive together with others. And money doesn’t always have to be the main driver. Sometimes a good idea or time is a much more significant investment.”

Meanwhile, Federer fans will eagerly await to know which events Federer will attend this year. While the Laver Cup 2024 in Berlin remains a high possibility, the former World Number 1 could make a dashing appearance at the Wimbledon Championships again this year.
