Antiquated fashion rules might dictate that red and pink should never be worn together, but please allow Serena and Venus Williams to change your mind.
The iconic sister duo was in the star-studded front row at Gucci’s Spring/Summer 2025 men’s ready-to-wear show in Milan on Monday. For the occasion, the tennis legends showed up in complementary outfits, each sister wearing one of two different colors that have dominated the past few seasons.
Venus made a statement in red—a shade that’s been taking over runways and the beauty space (if Dua Lipa’s cherry cola hair is any indication) as of late. She wore a glossy maroon trench coat over her shoulders, layering it over a white checkered base that included a crisp cropped collared button-up and a column midi skirt. She tied the look together with oxblood slingback pumps and a small black leather bag.
As for the younger Williams, Serena continued to embrace Barbiecore in a light pink monochromatic outfit. This look consisted of a glittery, nearly sheer button-up tucked into a pair of high-rise pleated trousers. She layered with a matching pink blazer and finished off the look with a pink leather belt. To thematically tie her look to Venus’s, the 23-time Grand Slam winner carried a dark red half moon–shaped bag.
The Williamses turned the Gucci show into a family affair, with their sister Lyndrea Price and mother, Oracene Price, joining the two in the front row.
Lyndrea followed Serena and went the monochromatic route, though she opted for an all-black moment in a bodycon midi dress, black pumps, and a black bag. Oracene wore a white collared button-up with lace paneling, dark blue jeans, and black slingbacks.
