Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens are set to celebrate the New Year in a relaxed and intimate way.
The Olympic gymnastics legend recently shared her plans with PEOPLE, revealing that her husband’s NFL schedule with the Chicago Bears means the couple will likely keep things simple

This year’s holiday season has been a special one for the couple, who tied the knot in 2023
“Me and Jonathan were actually talking about it, and I’m like, ‘We’ll probably be in bed before the ball drops anyways,'” Biles admitted.
But Owens, ever the romantic, reassured her.
“He said, ‘Don’t worry, I’ll get up. I’ll set an alarm for 12 so I could kiss you,'” she shared, highlighting their sweet tradition.
While Biles missed celebrating Christmas with her extended family due to Owens’ home game on December 26, she found joy in spending quality time with him.
“This will be the first Christmas that we’ll spend alone together as a couple, which is actually really nice,” she noted.
When she’s not cheering Owens on from the sidelines, often in eye-catching outfits showcasing her love and support, Biles is planning for the future.
The gymnast revealed that once the football season wraps up, the couple hopes to embark on some well-deserved vacations.
“Jonathan and I want to go on a couple of vacations, we’re planning those out right now,” she said.

But travel isn’t the only thing on Biles’ mind.
Known for her philanthropic efforts, she expressed a desire to give back to the community in the coming months.
“Just trying to give back to the community as much as I can because they’ve supported me through this journey,” she said.
As for a potential return to the Olympics in 2028? Biles isn’t rushing any decisions.
“Absolutely not,” she laughed when asked if she’s given it much thought.
“We’re barely done with this year.”
For now, the world’s most decorated gymnast is savoring her time with Owens and embracing the balance between her legendary career and her new role as a supportive NFL wife.
