The U.S. State Department on Tuesday announced that it revoked visas of foreigners due to their reactions to the death of conservative commentator Charlie Kirk.

“The United States has no obligation to host foreigners who wish death on Americans,” the department wrote on the social media platform X.

“The State Department continues to identify visa holders who celebrated the heinous assassination of Charlie Kirk.”

The six nationals who had their visas revoked were from Argentina, South Africa, Mexico, Brazil, Germany and Paraguay.

“A German national celebrated Kirk’s death and attempted to justify his murder, writing ‘when fascists die, democrats don’t complain,’ the department said in a thread on X. “Visa revoked.”

Charlie Kirk was a political activist who founded the nonprofit group Turning Point USA. He was also known for going around college campuses and debating liberals on political issues.

Kirk was assassinated last month while speaking at an event at Utah Valley University.

Prosecutors in Utah said they are seeking the penalty for 22-year-old Tyler Robinson, the suspected killer of Kirk who was charged with aggravated murder.

Kirk received the Presidential Medal of Freedom on Tuesday and it was accepted on his behalf by his wife Erika.

Trump called Kirk one of the “greatest figures of his generation.”
