People headed to the State Fair of Texas this year have a limited amount of time remaining to enjoy a popular fair attraction.
The Log Ride on the midway will close permanently at the end of the 2025 season, according to a news release Wednesday from the fair.
The ride, introduced to the fair in 1986, will run through the fair’s final day this year on Oct. 19.
“The Log Ride has been a cherished part of the State Fair experience for decades,” Rusty Fitzgerald, senior vice president of Midway operations, said in a statement. “As we look to the future of the Fair, we want to honor the role it has played in bringing joy and excitement to our guests. This season, we encourage everyone to take one last ride and celebrate the memories made along the way.”
The news release did not cite a reason for the ride closing.
