There’s a new-ish doctor in the building on “Grey’s Anatomy,” and he promises to change some things in the medical drama.
“Grown-ish” star Trevor Jackson, who guest starred in the final two episodes last season, was upped to a series regular on the hit ABC show in season 22.
“I’m stoked about being on Grey’s Anatomy,” Jackson told us at the ABC Summer soiree event in LA. He admits he was “freaking out” when he first got the call that he landed a more permanent spot on the show. Jackson returns as Wes Bryant, a handsome yet arrogant guy who was revealed to be a new medical intern at Grey Sloan.

Jackson teased how his character, Wes, will add to the dynamic cast, saying, “I came to shake some stuff up, and my character really just wants to be the best doctor he can be. And that may be good or bad for some people sometimes.”
Based on the show synopsis for the premiere episode, titled “Only the Strong Survive,” Grey’s fans are in for some surprises as the show picks up moments after the explosion in season 21.

The actor joins the star-studded cast, including the iconic Dr. Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo) and Dr. Miranda Bailey (Chandra Wilson), and says “it’s an honor” to be on the show.
He continued, “The actors that have come out of that show are just incredible, and that are still on that show are incredible. So, it also feels like a little affirmation of, like, ‘Yo, this is the next step,’ and I’m proud.”
