Vice President JD Vance said Wednesday that he will be going to the University of Mississippi in Oxford to take questions from college students alongside Turning Point CEO Erika Kirk.

“I’m going to do exactly what Charlie did,” Vance said on the Charlie Kirk Show that streamed from the White House. “My plan is to give a little speech, talk about the issues of the day, but turn most of it over to just do Q&A with the audience. I want to hear from these kids, I want to answer questions from them.”

Vance and Erika will go to the University of Mississippi in Oxford for the Turning Point USA event on Oct. 29, according to Politico.

Erika Kirk became the CEO of Turning Point USA after her husband Charlie Kirk was murdered last month while speaking at an event in Utah.

Prosecutors in Utah said they are seeking the penalty for 22-year-old Tyler Robinson, the suspected killer of Kirk who was charged with aggravated murder.

Charlie Kirk founded Turning Point USA in 2012 and was well-known for going around college campuses and debating liberals on political issues.

On Tuesday, President Donald Trump awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom to Charlie. Erika accepted the award on her husband’s behalf.

Trump called Kirk one of the “greatest figures of his generation.”
