The Princess of Wales has been largely out of the public eye since announcing her cancer diagnosis in the spring.

Catherine, Princess of Wales, has made sparing public appearances since announcing her cancer diagnosis in March.

The former Kate Middleton underwent major abdominal surgery in January, then returned home to Windsor to recover. During her absence from the public eye, rumors and conspiracy theories related to her wellbeing swirled.

In a March 2024 video statement, Kate revealed that she had been diagnosed with an unspecified type of cancer and that she was undergoing “early stages” of preventative chemotherapy. The news came as a “huge shock” to her family and she was asking for “time, space and privacy” as treatment continued.

Since then, the Princess of Wales has provided a few updates on her health.

In June, she shared that she has been making “good progress” in treatment, but that she’s “not out of the woods” and has a few months to go.

While she has attended some public events, Kate has not fully returned to royal duties. She said, in June, that she is “starting to do a little work from home,” but plans to “take this much needed time to heal.”
