Serena Williams has experienced significant changes in her life since becoming a mother. As a 23-time Grand Slam champion, she has introduced new elements into her life, primarily for the well-being of her children. As she embraces her family values and her faith as a Jehovah’s Witness, it’s possible that she might consider taking a different path for the sake of her 6-year-old daughter, Olympia.
Despite being a proud member of Jehovah’s Witness, Williams avoids celebrating a lot of occasions, including Halloween and birthdays. But now that Halloween is approaching, will the former world number one make a shift and celebrate the scary occasion with her 6-year-old school-going daughter?
Will Serena Williams celebrate Halloween with Olympia?
As the scariest night of the year is just 2 days away, Williams fans are brewing in anxiety regarding whether, as a devotee of Jehovah’s Witness, the 42-year-old American tennis legend has Halloween plans with her daughter. Although Olympia is six years old now, she has only celebrated Halloween once, back in 2017.
Back in 2017, Williams and Ohanian celebrated their daughter’s first Halloween by dressing her up as Batman when she was just 2 months old. Subsequently, she also shared some amazing clicks from her daughter’s first Halloween.

But since then, as the former world number one has gotten serious about following her religion, she has not celebrated the holiday by dressing up. Not only on Halloween, she has not celebrated her daughter’s birthday as a part of her religion. Even though she has kept a distance from the scary occasion, from time to time she has dressed her daughter as a princess.
Nearly 2 years ago, in 2021, there was a time during their Paris visit when Olympia was dressed up as a pretty princess, looking cute in a yellow dress. Moreover, as the 6-year-old is a huge princess fan, it won’t be wrong to say that Williams does make shifts for her daughter’s happiness by dressing her up as a princess for various different occasions.

Leaving everything aside, the biggest question is whether Jehovah’s Witnesses ever partake in or celebrate Halloween. Let’s take a look at the religion Williams practices and find out the reason why they don’t partake in Halloween.
Do Jehovah’s Witnesses celebrate Halloween?
Although Jehovah’s Witnesses believe in Jesus, they don’t celebrate most holidays or events that honor other people apart from Jesus. Well, Halloween is a part of a pagan holiday, such that the Celtics tried to ward off ghosts with bonfires and costumes during the Samhain festival of harvest.
In addition, they do not observe any religious festivals, such as Christmas or Easter, because they believe that these traditions, like Halloween, have pagan roots. Although attempts were made to alter the situation, it is likely that the 23-time Grand Slam champion will once again decline to take part in the festival in 2017 because her religion does not observe the holiday celebrations.
