However, those close to the duo told the outlet that those speculations were far from true.
“That’s bullsh-t,” a friend of the golfer stated. “Why would he want to get married in the White House? That doesn’t even stand up to any sort of critical thinking.”
The source went on to describe the idea as “twisted fan fiction,” insisting that the 49-year-old wasn’t foolish enough to do something so “polarizing.”
They also pointed out the awkwardness of choosing such a venue, asking why he would ever want to marry in the home of his partner’s ex-husband’s father.
“Especially when he has so many beautiful properties and unlimited money to get married wherever the hell he wants to,” the source added.
