WAIALUA (HawaiiNewsNow) – Officers are searching for a man suspected of a robbery in Waialua.
On Tuesday, at around 1 p.m., officers responded to a report of a robbery near Polo Beach on Farrington Highway.
A 65-year-old male was seated inside his wife’s parked vehicle when an unknown man entered the back seat, brandished a black handgun, and threatened him.
The suspect ordered the victim to drive toward Waialua, then told him to stop near Waialua High School.
The suspect forced the victim out of the car, took his personal property, and fled southbound on Farrington Highway toward Haleʻiwa.
No injuries were reported.
The suspect is being described as a man, 30–40 years old, about 5’9”, 175–180 lbs., wearing a black long-sleeve shirt, pants, and armed with a black handgun, possibly a Glock.
The vehicle is a white 2005 Honda CR-V.
