California Democratic gubernatorial candidate Katie Porter said that she “fell short” following the release of two viral videos that showed her almost walking out on an interview and yelling at a staffer.

“I absolutely understand that I could have been better in those moments,” Porter said on a Tuesday Zoom call, according to The New York Times.

“I’m going to hold myself to that standard, to do better and to acknowledge that I fell short.”

Earlier this month, there were two videos released of Porter lashing out at people.

In one, she is seen cussing out one of her staffers for being behind her during an interview while she was still a member of Congress.

“Get out of my f***ing shot,” Porter shouted.

In the other video that was leaked to the press, Porter is seen threatening to leave an interview with a CBS News reporter.

During the interview, Porter could be seen getting more irritated with a CBS reporter who pressed her on what she would say to GOP voters in order to get them to vote for her.

She grew irritated with the follow-up questions and then threatened to leave the interview early.

Porter’s ex-husband Matthew Hoffman in the past has accused her of verbal and physical abuse and at one point, putting hot mashed potatoes on his head during a fight.

The couple divorced in 2013.
