There is one person that will prove to be an overarching headache to Prince Harry’s UK trip.
Prince Harry is said to have been patiently waiting to iron out details for his upcoming trip to the UK, and while its been confirmed he’s been offered a royal residence stay, what is still up in the air is the nitty gritty.
For those unversed, the Duke’s motivations are said to be his children, who have not been able to be near their grandfather whose currently battling cancer, all that much.
Should it come to pass, royal historian and author Andrew Lownie warns the one thing the King will likely focus on will be ensuring both his sons have a sit down.
While talking to The Mirror the expert explained this by saying, “I think that’s genuine reconciliation. I think there’s a genuine personal desire to see your grandchildren and no one wants to fall out with their children. So I think that’s a genuine human element there,” but he also said, “I think also the King thinks that having an estranged royal is not good for the optics.” So the fact is that he’s then ‘got to’ deal with William, “who clearly is adamant that they have nothing to do with Harry.”
All in all “it’s a matter of banging some heads together and saying, ‘Look, we’re going to be a bit more grown up about this.’ So this is him exerting his authority a bit more. But I think there’s just a huge human desire to reconcile.”
