Prince Harry’s efforts to bring could open the door to long-awaited reunion family
Prince Harry appears ready to take on the challenge of rebuilding ties with King Charles.
After a fresh statement revealed he is exploring “every available option” to ensure Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet can visit the UK safely.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are expected to travel to the UK next month for the one-year countdown to the 2027 Invictus Games in Birmingham.
However, questions over security arrangements have cast doubt on whether the visit will go ahead as planned.
In a new statement to GB News, Prince Harry’s spokesperson stressed that the central issue is not accommodation, but the level of protective security provided throughout the family’s stay.
“Prince Harry’s programme in the United Kingdom includes both public and private engagements across the country,” the person said.
“Safe accommodation is only one element of an effective protective security plan because risk follows the person, not the place.”
The statement also said that an independent Risk Management Board, which the Royal and VIP Executive Committee (RAVEC) reportedly decided was necessary last November, has yet to meet.
“It is therefore difficult to understand how the proportionality of the current arrangements can credibly be maintained without that independent assessment,” the spokesperson continued.
“The Duke continues to explore every available option to enable the visit to proceed safely and to give his children the opportunity to enjoy the UK,” the statement concluded.
This comes years after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle lost their automatic entitlement to taxpayer-funded police protection when they stepped down as senior working royals in 2020.
Since then, the Duke has repeatedly argued that the current security arrangements make it difficult for him to bring his family back to Britain.
Dame Penelope was among the distinguished guests who paid tribute to Queen Camilla during her 75th birthday celebrations, where she delivered a heartfelt speech that reflected their enduring friendship.
The actress also appeared alongside the royals on several public occasions, often sharing good moments and laughter with the King and Queen.
Beyond her acclaimed acting career, she was also known for her charitable work and dedication to preserving Britain’s cultural heritage.
