Carrie Underwood is the fitness queen. The singer flaunted her fit body on Sunday, taking to Instagram to share a photo of herself relaxing at a cozy spot.

Earlier in the year, she revealed that she now sees working out as a “lifestyle” and is no longer fixated on getting results.

The singer is currently touring for her “Denim & Rhinestones” Tour and hosts shows in Las Vegas, Tennessee, Iowa, Minnesota, Michigan, Illinois, and Oklahoma.

Carries Underwood Sizzles In A Green Bikini

Underwood showed off her toned tummy over the weekend via a picture she shared on her Instagram Story. The 40-year-old stunned in a Heidi Klein green halter bikini that fit snugly to her privates while revealing her smooth skin.

She accessorized the look with a pair of green stud earrings, gold-rimmed Ray-Ban sunglasses, and two hand rings.

“Finally…sunshine! Haven’t seen the sun in 6 days…feels good,” she captioned the picture, in which she was seen flashing a peace sign.

While the country singer appears to be in great health, this was not always the case as she lived unhealthily for a long time following her triumph at the 2005 edition of the “American Idol.”

But upon realizing that her 800 calories per day lifestyle was harmful to her, she began a healthy lifestyle journey and has not looked back.

Carrie Underwood Opens Up About Her Fitness Lifestyle

In 2020, the “Before He Cheats” singer released her own fitness manual, Find Your Path: Honor Your Body, Fuel Your Soul, and Get Strong with the Fit52 Life, to help people start keeping a fit lifestyle.

At the time, she revealed that she eats 45 percent carbs, 30 percent fat, and 25 percent protein and works with a structured, healthy way of keeping in shape.

“I love rules,” Underwood said at the time, per Page Six. “This is how I feel good about myself, and this is how I operate.”

Part of those rules included trying to work out seven days a week, which she described as a “stress reliever” for her.

“My self-care is my gym time, and that’s a stress reliever for me,” the singer said, who also noted that she still indulges in red wine from time to time.

Carrie Underwood’s Fitness Lifestyle Has Evolved
While Underwood’s current diet and gym habits are unknown, what is clear is that her approach to fitness has since evolved. She revealed earlier in the year that she now has a new purpose that fuels her to maintain a healthy lifestyle.

“I feel like earlier in my career, I was working out more to be a certain size or fit into a certain aesthetic that I thought I wanted to be.” the mother of two said, per Page Six. “And now I feel like I work out more to be strong and to have energy and longevity.”

She went on to share that in the past, she usually got frustrated when she didn’t see results but now realizes that “working out” is a lifestyle.

The singer said, “It really is playing the long game, right? …. I feel like now, at this point in my life, you really do learn that it is a lifestyle; it’s balance. It is overall taking care of yourself.”

Carrie Underwood Says Motherhood Has Made It Difficult For Her To Workout
Motherhood hasn’t made it easy for the popular country singer to adhere strictly to a schedule for her workouts, as she is often stuck dealing with domestic chores.

“When I’m at home, I feel like I’m mom-ing it. I’m doing the laundry, packing the lunches, and I’m always cleaning,” said the “Inside Your Heaven” hitmaker, who is married to Mike Fisher, per Page Six.

Luckily, when she is away on tour, not having to do her mommy responsibilities “frees up a little time” for her to get in some exercise. The singer also tries to get in a workout in her mornings, which she said are “a little bit more flexible.”

Underwood is currently on the road for her “Denim & Rhinestones” Tour and will hit venues in Las Vegas, Tennessee, Iowa, Minnesota, Michigan, Illinois, and Oklahoma.
