More than a decade after Joan Rivers’ 2014 death, her estate is selling some bizarre items from her belongings for the first time.

More than 300 lots of the star’s personal and professional possessions were up for grabs at The Peninsula Hotel in Beverly Hills, Calif, on Oct. 9, authorized by her daughter Melissa Rivers. When asked why she decided to put her mom’s memorabilia on sale now, Melissa told People, “The timing felt right. I’m finally emotionally ready to let go.”

Fans of the late comedian, who died at age 81, bought her shag wigs and her dog’s X-rays at an auction. The sale, presented by Julien’s Auctions, included two X-rays of Rivers’ beloved Yorkshire Terrier, Spike, showing his thorax. They sold for $576 and came with the original manila envelope from Spike’s veterinarian.

Other unique pieces from Joan’s precious pooch included a framed photo of Spike wearing a crown, the dog’s collar and ID tags, a OnePass Elite ’92 credit card with “Spike Rivers” written on it, a button that read “I Like Spike,” and an issue of People magazine from May 1986, which featured Rivers and Spike on the cover, sold for $1,920.

As for her signature blonde bob, two wigs that she wore during her 2008 show, “A Work in Progress by a Life in Progress,” went for a whopping $5,760 and $2,880, respectively.

The former “Fashion Police” commentator was a huge fan of the Royals, and her estate sale reflected her love for the British Royal Family. A china mug commemorating the 1986 marriage of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York, was auctioned for $384. Two bone china mugs highlighting special events in the monarch – Queen Elizabeth’s Silver Jubilee in 1977, as well as The Queen Mother’s 80th birthday in 1980 – were also sold for $512.

Surprisingly, eager fans even bought two voodoo dolls for $448 kept by Rivers. The late QVC trailblazer had an eclectic taste and a well-rounded collection of valuable items.
