These are not easy days in the British Royal Family. At the beginning of a year in which Charles III, the visible head of the royalty of the Islands, has been diagnosed with cancer, the Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton, underwent an abdominal operation.
Both health setbacks within the monarchy of Britain have been handled in two diametrically opposed ways. While the monarch’s illness has been reported from Buckingham Palace, William’s wife’s surgery has been kept almost a state secret.
Kate Middleton continues to recover at home. British newspaper The Daily Mail has revealed that “she is doing well”.
The princess has had family support from day one. Both her husband and her children have been by her side, as well as her sister Pippa.
However, Kate’s sister has decided to leave Britain for a few days to go on a trip with her husband James Matthews and their three children, Arthur, Grace and Rose. The place they have chosen to disconnect has been St. Bartholomew, where James’ parents have a resort known as Eden Rock.
A trip that has reassured the public opinion
In the images published by The Daily Mail, the family is in a Caribbean island paradise, where the beach is the protagonist in their days. This trip has reassured the British public opinion, as it reflects that Kate’s health situation is good, because Pippa would not have gone if her sister had worsened in recent days.
The princes are now at Sandringham, the residence where Charles is also staying. The royal family thus shows its union in these difficult times for two of its most important members.
