Williams called it “the experience of a lifetime” to present an award at the ceremony, which honors research in life science, physics and math.

Before hitting the red carpet for the Los Angeles premiere of the tennis movie “Challengers,” Venus Williams was on stage honoring scientific achievement.

The seven-time Grand Slam singles champion joined famous faces including Bradley Cooper, Robert Downey Jr., Kim Kardashian and Alicia Keys to present at the 10th annual Breakthrough Prize ceremony last weekend, an event celebrates the research achievements of the world’s top scientists in the fields of life sciene, physics and mathematics.

Williams called the opportunity to present “the experience of a lifetime.”

“Had a blast at the Breakthrough Prize Ceremony this weekend, and celebrating the remarkable scientists and honorees!” Williams wrote on X. “I was truly in awe of the Breakthrough Prize, and so inspired by the ingenuity and unrelenting human spirit of these award winners.”

Joining Williams on the red carpet was another former world No. 1, Maria Sharapova, who attended with other celebrities including Vin Diesel, Orlando Bloom, Katy Perry and Olympic skier Eileen Gu.

A total of $15 million in prizes was awarded to high-achieving scientists, and 17-year-old Sia Godika from India was awarded the junior prize for her research in cellular reprogramming. She earned a $250,000 scholarship as the winner, and a $100,000 sciene lab for her school.
