Prince Harry and his family visited the United Kingdom to attend multiple events related to Invictus Games in earlier this month.

Invictus Games organizers have dismissed speculation that the Birmingham 2027 edition could be scrapped, days after Prince Harry visited the UK to mark the one-year countdown to the event.

The Duke of Sussex also met King Charles and Queen Camilla along with his wife Meghan Markle and two children—Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, during the visit to the UK earlier this month.

The statement from the organization came after rumors suggested the multi-sport competition for wounded, injured and sick military veterans was at risk of cancellation owing to a loss of sponsors, including Boeing.

A spokesman said that not only does Boeing remain a partner, but new commercial backers are also being brought on board.

Among them is Defender, the Jaguar Land Rover brand, which has been added as a commercial partner for the eighth edition of the competition.

The spokesman said in a statement, “Commercial partnerships continue to develop for Birmingham 2027, with further exciting announcements to follow in due course.”

“Boeing remains in a multi-year partnership with the Invictus Games Foundation supporting sport recovery programmes through 2027.”

“Boeing also continues to support Invictus Germany and Invictus Australia. Invictus Games Birmingham 2027 remains in active discussions with Boeing, alongside other partners, regarding Birmingham 2027.”
