The Prince and Princess of Wales visited the schools attended by Babe, Alice and Elise and saw first-hand how the education community and families have come together in the face of such a loss.
In July 2024, three children who were fatally stabbed and ten others were injured during the “Taylor Swift Yoga and Dance Workshop” in Southport, England.
A little more than a year after the tragic event, Prince William and Kate Middleton visited the Farnborough Road Infant and Primary School on Tuesday, September 23 and spoke about it.

In the heinous event, Elsie Dot Stancombe, 7, Alice da Silva Aguiar, 9, and Bebe King, 6, were murdered by Axel Rudakubana, who was 18 at the time. The man was arrested and convicted of the three murders and 10 attempted murders. He was sentenced to 13 counts of life imprisonment.
Last November, Middleton invited the victims’ families and survivors and hosted them at her carol service, along with King Charles and her husband William. Now, the Prince and Princess of Wales visited the schools the three children attended, spoke with the children, teachers and families, and saw firsthand how the educational community has come together in the face of such loss.
During the visit to Farnborough Road School, where Elsie was a pupil, William and Kate also spoke privately with her family and teachers.
They then both attended Churchtown Primary School and toured the new playground in honor of Alice and Babe. This new space includes a stage, libraries, play areas. In addition, there are nooks and crannies designed to bring tranquility, comfort and healing.
In addition, William gave a speech in which he stated: “The tragic events that unfolded in this town last year still remain difficult to comprehend. Many lives were changed on a terrible day including countless members of the school community” began the heir to the British throne.
