Prince William and Princess Kate have been acquainted for more than twenty years, creating countless cherished moments during that period.

From their 2011 nuptials to welcoming their three offspring, the couple has constructed a wonderful life together, bringing joy to Royal enthusiasts.

While their deep affection is evident, a former Royal servant has revealed that their bond extends far beyond matrimony. Having served King Charles from 2004 to 2011 during his tenure as Prince of Wales – a position William currently occupies – former Royal butler Grant Harrold witnessed William and Kate’s early romantic period.

This encompassed their courtship both before and following their temporary separation in 2007. Discussing his perspective on their partnership, both past and present, Mr Harrold drew parallels between William and Kate and the late Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip.

According to People, he remarked at a London gathering on Monday: “When you saw them together and see them get on as friends, although they were in love, they are also absolutely best friends. They remind me of the Queen and Prince Philip. Their relationship was similar. They were best friends who worked together as a team.”

Prince William and Princess Kate are thought to have established a friendship prior to beginning their romantic relationship at university more than two decades ago. During their 2010 engagement interview, William, 43, explained that their romance developed while sharing living quarters at university as friends, alongside two other individuals. The couple celebrated their 14th wedding anniversary earlier this year.
