Princess Charlotte supported her brother after a woman from the crowd praised him.
A video of Princess Charlotte reacting to the praise Prince George received has surfaced online, two days after the royal family greeted crowds following the Christmas Day church service in Sandringham.
When William’s three children met the people who had gathered to catch a glimpse of the royals, a woman told Prince George his grandmother (Princess Diana) would be proud of his work he did during his visit to a homeless charity with his father.
While Prince George thanked the lady with a smile on his face and Prince Louis stood clueless about the conversation — or at least what his straight face suggested — it was Princess Charlotte’s reaction that has caught royal fans’ attention.
A video widely circulated on social media shows Princess Charlotte patting her big brother on the back after he was praised by their well-wisher.
Later, the same woman held Kate Middleton’s hand when the Princess of Wales separately met her and told the mother of George what she had told her son about Princess Diana.
The woman was referring to Prince William and Prince George’s joint visit to a homeless charity in London where the pair helped make Christmas lunch for people in need.
The visit was particularly poignant for William because his late mother Princess Diana had taken him to the same charity when he was 11 years old, an experience which inspired him to set up a programme aimed at ending homelessness.
During the trip to the charity’s centre, named The Passage, George signed the visitor’s book on the same page previously signed by Diana, who was killed in a car crash in Paris in 1997 when William was 15 years old.
