A royal insider has revealed what Queen Camilla’s stance is on growing rift between King Charles and his younger son, Prince Harry.
According to latest report by People Magazine, the Queen Consort tries not to involve herself in the ongoing feud between the monarch and the Duke of Sussex.
They report said Camilla “stays out of it,” with insider suggesting that there is no one encouraging Charles to end the feud.
“There is not a good angel in his ear to say, ‘Be a good dad and make the first move,’” royal expert and author Valentine Low said.
Reports have suggested that things between Charles and Harry became worse after his interview with BBC in which he said he does not know how long his father has.
“I don’t know how much longer my father has… He won’t speak to me,” Harry said, also sharing that he would like a reconciliation with his family.
Low noted that even though it “wasn’t meant to be an attack, but it would be seen as one. It makes Charles reaching out even harder.”
Royal biographer Sally Bedell Smith supported Low’s stance, revealing that Charles and Prince William “don’t trust Harry and Meghan with any kind of confidential conversation.”
This comes after a report by Radar Online claimed that Camilla and William “dead set against” letting Harry back into the royal fold after the bombshell claims he made against them in his memoir Spare.
“The king is sick enough as it is. The last thing he needs is to be forced into some sort of confrontation with Harry, which they both predict would happen. That’s just Harry’s nature,” the source said.
They added, “Not to mention that Camilla absolutely loathes him – just the mention of Harry’s name gets her blood boiling.”
The source said that Camilla is worried about Charles and is determinant on protecting his peace.
“This is a very tough time for her, and she wants to protect her peace – and her husband’s,” the insider said.
“The feeling is Harry made his choice when he waltzed off and proceeded to trash-talk them all publicly.”
