Ohanian met Williams in 2015 but it wasn’t until late 2017 when his view of life changed.
Serena Williams’ husband opened up on how fatherhood changed him as a man, killing off his selfishness by putting his children before anyone else in the world as his daughter changed his life instantly.

Alexis Ohanian, who is famous and wealthy for founding the popular social media website, Reddit, began a relationship with the tennis ace back in 2015 before they married in 2017, but it wasn’t until they had kids in September that year that Ohanian began to change.

“I can’t tell you how many decisions I made in my twenties and my thirties pre-fatherhood that were so selfish,” Ohanian said to Business Dad. “And it was so geared around, ‘I’ve got look out for me, this is it.’

“And like yeah I might be with someone whatever but I’m still at the end of the day it’s still me above all. It’s a liberating thing to now know, ‘Actually it’s not that important, Alexis.’ These humans, like this is your charge, this is your responsibility now. This is your legacy.

“And all the other s**t doesn’t actually matter. There’s two humans now whose opinion I really care about and they’re my kids.”

Ohanian stays close to his kids
Now with Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr. turning seven in a few months, and their second daughter, Adira River, about to turn one in August, Ohanian now bids to serve only them as he admitted that returning home to them makes him happy.

The fondness of his children and the desire to be more at home more often to be with his wife and his two children as they begin to grow up actually came from wisdom passed down by his peers, who regularly lamented their missed opportunities with their youngsters.

“Do you know the ONE thing I keep hearing from the most successful CEOs?,” Ohanian added on X.com, formerly Twitter. “‘I wish I’d spent more time with my kids.’

Ohanian later added: “That first hug from my girls after a work trip. Hug ’em tight! Keep ’em close esp [especially] those early years.”
