This, after the Reddit portal reported a rumor from Escuderia Telmex, Checo’s link to Formula 1, which stated that the Mexican had thought of announcing his retirement during the Mexican Grand Prix in the coming weeks.

However, it is true that the pressure on the Mexican driver is strong at this moment of the F1 season, as he has only accumulated five points in his last three races and in fact the team itself has also denied any rumors about a breakup with Checo.
A Red Bull spokesman categorically stated to Autosport that this rumor “has absolutely nothing to do with it” and this statement was ratified by Helmut Marko, the team’s advisor and one of Checo’s main critics, who affirmed that “he knew nothing about it”.
Meanwhile, Checo has races in Austin, Mexico City, Sao Paulo and Las Vegas ahead of him, before the season finale in Abu Dhabi, where he will be looking for second place in the Drivers’ Championship to secure his seat for next season, while maintaining the gap he has over Lewis Hamilton.
