HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – The scariest season has arrived in Hawaii. Here are some events to look out for this month.

Oahu:

Mysteries of Hawaii Ghost Tours

Join Native Hawaiian storyteller Lopaka Kapanui on his No. 1 Best Ghost Tour in America, according to USA Today. Hear chilling tales of the night marchers around Oahu. Tickets range from $40 to $70.

Trial of Fears

Escape this nightmarish haunted house through clues and puzzles! Tickets are $38.

October Horror Film Series

Hawaii Theatre Center is showing terrifying classics until Oct. 21, including “Nosferatu” (1922, 2024) and “Texas Chainsaw Massacre” (1974).

Pumpkin Pāʻina in Kaka’ako

Families can bring their keiki to this free, kid-friendly event on Oct. 31 at 5 to 8 p.m. at SALT at Our Kaka’ako, hosted by One Love Ministries. Enjoy carnival-style games, a “passport” adventure, face painting, and more!

Hyatt Halloween

Dance the night away and compete for over $2000 in costume contest prizes at one of Waikiki’s biggest Halloween parties! The event is 21+. It will be on Oct. 31 from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. at Hyatt Regency Waikiki Beach Resort and Spa. General admission ranges from $25 to $35.

Waimanalo Country Farms

Enjoy the day at the farm, pumpkin patch, sunflower fields, and a county market with fresh farm-made goods. The farm is open starting Sept. 27 till Nov. 9, Monday-Friday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and weekends from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. General admission is $12.

Big Island

Haunted Maze at Botanical World Adventures

Get lost in a haunted maze, win prizes, and get free Halloween treats! The Haunted Maze is on Oct. 25 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. The Keiki Scavenger Hunt is on Oct. 26 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults and $6 for kids.

Holoholoween Fall Fest and Pumpkin Patch

Celebrate the fall season with family and friends at the 5th annual Holoholoween at Pana’ewa Equestrian Center on Oct. 16 to 19. Activities include hay rides, a bouncy castle, a petting zoo, and more! General admission is $6.

Maui

Halloween Boo Bash

Maui Mall Village’s Halloween Boo Bash invites families and keiki to participate in costume contests and trick-or-treat on Oct. 25 from 3 to 6 p.m.

Spirits by the Sea: An Addams Family Halloween

Put on your best gothic ensemble and celebrate Halloween Addams Family-style at 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. at Mala Ocean Tavern. The night will feature DJ music, Halloween-inspired dishes, and cocktails. Early bird tickets are $10, and door admission is $20.

Kauai

12th Annual Harvest Festival

Enjoy free pumpkins, rides, entertainment, and more at the 12th Annual Harvest Festival on Oct. 18 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Hanapēpē Athletic Field.
