Security guard fatally shoots customer inside Center City IHOP
PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — Police are investigating a deadly shooting inside a Center City IHOP.
They say a female security guard shot a customer in the head during a dispute.
The shooting happened in the lobby of the IHOP at Walnut and Juniper streets around 11:15 p.m. Saturday.
The customer was pronounced dead a short time later at the hospital.
Police aren’t saying what caused the guard to pull the gun.
They do say it appears the customer was not armed.
The investigation into whether charges are warranted continues.
