Andrew’s disturbing talk leaves royal family concerned about his mental state
Palace sources raise concerns over former Prince Andrew’s mental health amid Epstein fallout.
Ex-Prince Andrew has been struggling with his mental health amid ongoing fallout from the Jeffrey Epstein scandal, according to palace sources.
A source told Radar Online that some of his disturbing comments have left the palace insiders and the royal family concerned about his mental health.
They said the “disgraced” former royal has expressed dark fantasies about a fatal horse accident, seemingly referencing the recent incident involving his sister, Princess Anne.
Andrew has withdrawn from public life following the loss of his military titles and royal patronages due to renewed scrutiny over his past ties to the convicted sex offender.
They say Andrew Mountbatten Windsor has been ranting about “wishing a horse would finish him off.”
“He has these long, muttering tirades where he circles back to the same dark ideas. He’s been heard muttering he wishes he’d be kicked to death by a horse, just to be done with it all,” a source told the publication.
Another added, “It’s like he fixated on Anne’s accident. He keeps bringing it up and saying maybe that’s the sort of clean exit he deserves.”
Previously, Anne has spoken publically of her accident when she was struck by a horse at Gatcombe Park in June 2024.
She said she remembered nothing about the accident, adding, “You’re jolly lucky… if you can continue to be more or less compos mentis. And last summer I was very close to not being.”
“You never quite know, something (happens) and you might not recover,” she said of the incident which left her in hospital for five nights.
