If you’re looking to plan something fun for you and your family or a day out with friends, the South Florida Tacos & Treats Festival makes a grand return next weekend.

This event offers special menus for you to taste a vast assortment of all the best from south Florida and beyond.

This is a two-day family-friendly event with all sorts of different specialized, budget-friendly menus for $5 or less.

On top of delicious food and drinks, what makes the South Florida Tacos & Treats Festival so special is the support for ‘Friends Of Foster Children,’ a local non-profit dedicated to fostering happy childhoods by enriching lives impacted by foster care. Festival officials say it’s important to use such a popular event like this festival as also a way to raise awareness towards foster children, especially since there’s such a great need for it in our area.

Hannah Gentry, the festival’s marketing manager, and Josie Mae, the Public Relations Coordinator of Friend of Foster Children, joined CBS12 News weekend morning anchor Dani Travis for a live interview Sunday morning (full interview in video above).

The South Florida Tacos and Treats Festival begins next weekend, the 18th from noon to 8 P.M., and 19th from 11 A.M. – 6 P.M. at the South County Regional Park, Near Sunset Cove Amphitheater in Boca Raton.

Children aged three and under will receive free entry, while children ages four through ten may attend both days of the festival for $5.

General admission is $10 and includes entry for both days.
