So is this the reason why she’s been acting the way she has? That’s what a lot of royal fans on both sides of the aisle can’t help but wonder when it comes to Princess Eugenie.
In fact, there’s heavy speculation suggesting that one of the reasons why she has distanced herself from Prince Harry is because she wants to be on good terms with his estranged brother, Prince William.
Princess Eugenie Accused Of Being An Opportunist
That’s mostly because she’s hoping to become a full-time royal the moment that Prince William becomes the next king of England. And the only way for that to happen is if she gets closer to William and of course, distances herself from Prince Harry and his very unlikable wife, Meghan Markle.
For Princess Eugenie, she’s more worried about her future than the supposedly close relationship she once had with Prince Harry. Or at least, that’s how some royal critics see it.
After all, her father Prince Andrew has already inflicted enough embarrassment on the family with his multiple scandals. Princess Eugenie knows now that the only way that she can survive is if she forms a strong alliance with Prince William and his wife, Kate Middleton.
What’s Next For Princess Eugenie?
As much as she loved spending time with Prince Harry and his children, all of that is in the past.
She can’t risk jeopardizing her own future just because the Duke of Sussex is refusing to end his years-long feud with the royal family. That, and he doesn’t want to apologize for all the times he’s thrown the royal family under the bus.
As much as Princess Eugenie knows that she looks like an opportunist in this matter, she doesn’t care. She’s looking out for herself.
So far Princess Eugenie herself has not made any comments about the criticism she’s received although at this point it’s doubtful that anything will be said. Watch this space for more.
