Princess Charlotte
Eagle-eyed viewers noticed something familiar about the young royal’s scarf in the family’s Father’s Day portraits.
Father’s Day is celebrated on the third Sunday of June in several countries, including the United Kingdom. The Wales children celebrated their father with some adorable portraits, shared to the official instagram account of the Prince and Princess of Wales. Taken by royal and celebrity photographer Josh Shinner, Kate and William shared two new images: one in color and one in black and white, both showing all three of the children laughing and smiling, even rough-housing a bit, with their dad.
But the most eagle-eyed viewers noticed something special: Charlotte was wearing a dark plaid scarf—perhaps the very same green and blue cashmere check scarf from Kiltane that Kate was wearing on the Christmas Day walk with the royal family at Sandringham last year.
Kate and Charlotte have had some memorable mother-daughter fashion moments over the last few years. Just this past Saturday, Kate wore an aquamarine Catherine Walker dress coat, while the young princess echoed her mother’s look with a dress in a pastel blue, while wearing a horseshoe brooch that has been in the royal family for generations. And last the same walk last Christmas, Charlotte’s plaid coat dress matched her mother’s scarf.
